Right past Redding California, a little bit north, is a small town called Lakehead. Lakehead is one of the most  beautiful and uniquee places I've been. I've been going here for as long as I can remember to go up and see my grandparents. Lakehead is home of Lake Shasta and Mt. Shasta. My parents bought a cabin up by the lake a few years ago and every summer and winter we spend there. From boating to skiing there is always so much to do. This upcoming Memorial Day we will be going back up to celebrate my grandma's birthday. Unlike most places this small town doesn't have many tourists and I hope it stays that way. Despite the beautiful atmosphere there isn't much around, no hotels or fancy restaurants. The town is perfect if you're looking for a quiet vacation. This place is so beautiful it is the perfect place to relax and spend time with family.
